Peking Union Medical College Hospital established a comprehensive clinical biobank to support major research programs across multiple disease areas. To manage a collection of 1.5 million samples while processing more than 4,800 samples each week, PUMCH implemented Genepoint’s Kiosk, Hatch, Hatch-Lite, Crest, and Pelican solutions. The integrated platform automates storage and retrieval at -80°C and in cryogenic environments, connects operations with LIMS, and strengthens sample traceability, access control, and long-term integrity.
LOFSRI partnered with Genepoint to build a research-ready marine biobank for the long-term conservation and routine use of aquatic germplasm. Built around Hatch-Lite and Crest, the platform combines automated rack access at or below -150°C, high-capacity LN₂ storage, and end-to-end digital traceability. The project established China’s first fully automated, high-throughput cellular preservation and utilization platform for marine aquatic species and the country’s largest marine-species sperm bank by collection scale and species diversity.
