Automated Sample Storage & Retrieval
Snorkel automates rack storage and retrieval, with Pro models also supporting individual vial picking at low temperatures. Users can retrieve a target rack or vial within seconds through a simple touchscreen command.
Compact Footprint, High Capacity
The optimized structure accommodates up to 150,000 vials while keeping the system height to 1,992 mm. Its compact design simplifies transportation and installation without sacrificing storage capacity.
Intelligent Sample Management
Pre-installed SampleAtlas provides ready-to-use inventory management through Research and Biobank modes. The system supports low-temperature defragmentation and cycle counting while reporting storage utilization and inventory fragmentation rates.
Wide Labware Compatibility
Depending on the system configuration, Snorkel accommodates cryoboxes, SBS racks, EP vials, ELISA plates, PCR plates, and 15–50 mL centrifuge tubes. Configurable storage layouts support diverse laboratory workflows.
Real-Time Sample Traceability
SampleAtlas synchronizes sample records with storage locations and automated handling activities throughout each operation. Research and Biobank modes support different traceability requirements, while top-view imaging helps verify non-DM-coded samples before retrieval.
Moisture-Proof Structure Design
Thermal stratification minimizes moisture ingress, while air-cooled dehumidification greatly reduces the need for defrosting. With no vacuum pump or air compressor required, the system simplifies daily operation and maintenance.
